Malcolm A. Purow is a litigation attorney at The Kelleher Firm. Malcolm has tried over 100 jury trials and has been litigating personal injury cases for over 38 years. Malcolm specializes in personal injury, and he litigates cases involving auto and truck accidents, slip and falls, products liability, and many other forms of personal injury claims.
Malcolm has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist as certified by the Florida Bar. Board certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Malcolm is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary.
Prior to becoming a civil litigator, Malcolm was an Assistant State Attorney for Dade County, working for State Attorney Janet Reno. Malcolm was a Major Crimes Prosecutor handling First Degree Murder and other high-profile cases. He was also Deputy Chief of the Felony Division, supervising 36 felony prosecutors. Malcolm attended the State University of New York at Albany, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School Of Law.
Malcolm is licensed to represent clients in state and federal courts throughout Florida. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Collier County Bar Association, and the Lee County Bar Association. He has taught trial tactics at the State Attorney’s Office and has lectured at the Miami-Dade C.C. Police Academy on constitutional law.
