78% involved Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .01 or higher
16% involved BAC of .15 or higher
288 of deceased riders were wearing a helmet.
283 of deceased riders were not wearing a helmet.

According to A Safer Florida, Florida had a total of 10,331 motorcycle accidents in 2016, which led to:

515 rider fatalities
30 motorcycle passenger deaths
8,256 injuries
Collier County (Naples) had 5,273 motor vehicle accidents in 2016, which led to:

2,885 injuries
35 deaths

Lee County (Ft Myers) had 11,828 collisions in 2016, which caused:

7,570 injuries
105 fatalities
